Spider-Man meets Ganesha.
 This is a great example of cultural syncretism—ideas from two entirely different cultures fusing to make something entirely new. In this case, it’s Indian culture imposing their own mythologies of the elephant-headed god Ganesha onto the American mythology of Spider-Man. Spidey has a special place in my heart, one that no other superhero has ever quite attained, because no one was quite as convincing as a nerdy schmuck as Peter Parker. There’s something very personal about seeing my old alter ego reinterpreted in another culture.
